Annie Rone first learned of her love for painting while teaching school. She always kept an abundance of paint in her supply cabinet and incorporated paint into the curriculum wherever she could. It was always difficult for “Ms. Mulkey” to put down the paintbrush and instruct because she was having too much fun!

With her husband Chris’s support, Annie was able to put her gradebook down and pick the paintbrushes up full time. Chris often said that he had to keep moving so that he wouldn’t get painted! Their home and furniture was covered in Annie’s whimsy and trial & errors.

Luckily, Annie started to get hired to paint other people's homes, offices, and furniture. She did this for a couple of years until someone requested a canvas. The thought of a canvas scared Annie to death, but that risk paid off when she fell in love with the feel and the privacy of the canvas.

Using acrylics, Annie paints with vibrant and colorful paints. Her love of animals, nature, and home is portrayed in many of her works. She creates paintings that evoke happiness in herself, in hopes that it will bring the same response from others.
